ICT terms 1 and 2:
In ICT, because we have our netbooks this year then when we have ICT time we get to choose most of the time if we want to use the computers in the lab or our netbooks. Most of the time everyone picks to use there netbooks enless we need to use the other computers for some reason. Lately everyone goes onto the netbooks, I go on my netbook as well. Now we are just having most of our ICT classes in our own classrooms, because everyone uses thier own computers.
I will be talking about some different topics that we have all learnt over the past 2 terms.
Pivot:
Pivot is a program that we learnt how to use this year on our netbooks, Fynn a guy in my class went up the front and tort us how to use the program while he was standing up the front, we al sat down on the floor. What you have to do is, you make different scenes and make a little movie.
Google Sketchup:
Google sketchup is a program that we learnt how to use last year, the grade 6's tort all of us last year how to use it. After we learnt how to use it we made diffeent sorts of houses and and objects. On google sketchup you can make your houses and then you can paint them and decorate them so it looks like a rel house and not just some shapes. You can click on to a little box in the google sketchup, that gets you on to google, when you are on it you type in what sort of thing you would like to put around or on your house, when you get what you want you paste it on your page. Here is a couple of samples of my houses in Google sketchup.
Audacity:
Audacity is a program where you get to record your own voice. We have used this program a couple of times. One time we wrote a letter to our familt pretending we were a soldier at war, so when we had finished our letter we got on to audacity to record our voices reading out the letter on there, after that we transfer our recordings on to movie maker another program.
With Audacity you can change pitches with your voice and different sound can go through your audacity recordings. If you no longer want that piece of recording, you go up to edit and press undo recording. Here is a sample of a Audacity file.
